Robert Goodwill MP has welcomed the fact that both Scarborough and Whitby have progressed to the next stage of the “Towns Fund” scheme.  The Town Deals will benefit 100 towns around the country.  A prospectus will be published with details of how local leaders can prepare for a town deal.  The letter from Communities’ Secretary, Robert Jenrick, explains the process for local people to bid for their share of the £3.6 billion in the fund.
