Following representations about the changes to stroke services Robert has received the attached letter from Mr. Morritt, the Chief Executive of the York Teaching Hospital Trust.
Whilst some of these changes have been done for clinical reasons and as a response to changes in the best practice available for the immediate treatment of stroke patients, any follow up treatments need to be carried out as close as possible to where the patients are living, which means Robert will continue to keep pressure up on the Health Trust to recruit the necessary staff needed to deliver clinics and outpatient services at Scarborough where possible.
