Local Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby, has paid a visit to Louise Florists on Huntriss Row in Scarborough in support of Small Businesses Saturday 2018. The business has been running for many decades with a loyal clientele. Kate Wark, the proprietor has kept the name Louise Florists and is often called Louise by mistake!
Robert Goodwill said:
“I’m delighted to support Small Business Saturday this year and I was pleased to hear that the business is going well. It is important that we back the independent businesses in our community. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and our Industrial Strategy is building an environment in which they can continue to thrive. It is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign that highlights small business successes, and encourages consumers to shop locally and support small businesses, also such a great event getting people together to support local traders right across the country. It absolutely dovetails with the Scarborough News own campaign to back the High Street.”
Budding entrepreneurs interested in starting a business are encouraged to explore the support available by getting in touch with the Business Support Helpline on 0300 456 3565.
